Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making www.rossnet.uk usable by as many people as possible.

Rossnet Consultancy Limited is committed to making www.rossnet.uk accessible, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This page sets out what we have built and tested, and — just as importantly — what we have not yet tested.

1What we do

  • Semantic HTML with a single h1 and no heading-level skips on any page — checked automatically across the whole site
  • Alt text on meaningful images, and empty alt attributes on decorative ones so screen readers skip them
  • Keyboard-operable navigation and service dialogs, which trap focus while open, close on Escape, and return focus to the element that opened them
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element
  • Pricing controls built as real radio groups rather than scripted buttons, so they are announced and operated as expected
  • Responsive layout with no horizontal scrolling from 320px through to large desktop displays, verified at 320, 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels
  • A light and a dark theme, both built from a palette designed against WCAG AA contrast thresholds
  • Reduced-motion support: animation and smooth scrolling are disabled when your system asks for it

2Known limitations

We want to be straightforward about what has and has not been tested.

  • The checks listed above are verified automatically in a real browser across every page, in both themes.
  • Colour contrast has been designed against AA thresholds and spot-checked programmatically, but a full audit of every text and background combination has not yet been completed.
  • A full manual screen reader pass has not yet been carried out. Until it has, we are not claiming complete WCAG 2.2 AA conformance — only that the site is built to that standard and tested as far as described here.
  • The interactive problem finder requires JavaScript. If it cannot load, it says so and points to the same information, which is available in full elsewhere on the page.
